WHERE INSIGHT AND VISION MEET

Daniel Cojanu hails from the industrial town of Ploiesti, Romania, where he cut his teeth in post-Communism television broadcast at the age of 17. He worked in the mountain city of Sinaia and in the capital, Bucharest, as a news cameraman for Pro-TV while putting himself through school. He graduated from the prestigious University of Theater & FIlm “IL Caragiale” in 2005, also studying documentary filmmaking at the BBC School for Broadcast Journalism. One of his student films, “A Fist Full of Candies”  was an Official Selection at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival, and “The Conclusion” premiered at the 2006 Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland.  Daniel has worked as a camera operator and 2nd unit director of photography on various international productions, as well as shooting a hit television series, short films, and commercials for broadcast in Romania. In 2008, Daniel moved with his wife, Elise, and their cat, Sasha, to Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
